AKS really only produced one shell. They just added bits, or took them off and called it by another name. All their shells were designed to fit chassis of 7`6" wheelbase, primarily the Ford 8 and 10hp chassis but could be accommodated onto other chassis of similar wheelbases.

Mk1

Above is the AKS Continental Mk1 launched in January 1959,  all other models were just variations on this theme.

Mk11

In July of that year the Mk2 was launched. This was a fast back, hard top version of the Mk1 and none are known to survive.

My newly acquired Mk111

March 1960  saw the introduction of the Continental Mk3. The Mk3 was a four seater hard top version of the Mk1 and was AKSs attempt to get into the family saloon market.

Mk2

July 1961 saw the introduction of another car called the Continental Mk2. This again, was the same two seater shell as the Mk1 with the addition of a detachable hard top which could also be bought separate for fitment to your Mk1.

MkIV

The last model from AKS was the Mk4 which was a stripped down version of their Mk1 . Sold as a bare shell complete with chassis mounting frame and a polished aluminium grill for the very cheap price of £55.
